Gabriel & Dresden

Back again. OK, I want to state that I have been listening to Electronic music ever since I was a wee little lad. I would say since 2002, I have been listening to Electronic. First, was the inevitable Sandstorm and Zombie Nation. The songs that everyone has heard at sporting events worldwide. Once I began enjoying Electronic, I really began to enjoy Progressive. Gabriel and Dresden were by far my favorite DJs. These guys really got me into it. When they split up back in 2008, I couldn't believe it! These guys really got me into it! Late last year, I had heard rumors of a reunion, and on new years the rumors were confirmed. Gabriel and Dresden re-united and are currently touring together. All I can say is if they come within 5 hours of Knoxville, I will be there. These guys truly got me passionate about electronic music at a very young age. Here a couple of songs. This one is form their self titled album but also made an appearance on their last album Toolroom Knights Vol. 2. The song is Enemy by Gabriel and Dresden.


The next song is possibly their most popular song that has been played by all djs in the past. The song is As the Rush Comes by Motorcycle AKA Gabriel and Dresden

Wolfgang

Well the Wolfgang Gartner show is coming up, and I am getting pumped. Here is one of his new songs. He just came out with one featuring Will.i.am, but I am not a big fan of the vocals. So I will share this one with you. The song is Space Junk by Wolfgang Gartner.

Athens

Well time for another song. This one, for some reason, gets me really pumped up for the Athens race. If you don't know, Athens is the most prestigious race in the South East. It is held in Athens Georgia and all the fans are drunk college kids. It is so adrenaline pack with rows of screaming spectators. Also, the race starts at night. So maybe that's why this song has me pumped for the race. The song is called Sound Of Violence. It is by Denis de Laat. He is on the Spinnin' record label.

tv on the radio

Well do to the new week, I'm going to throw up a new genre. Indie Alternative. This song comes from one of my favorite bands, Tv on the Radio. They have a new album coming out (finally) and this song is their first single from the album. The song is called Will Do by Tv On The Radio. The new album is called Nine Types of Light.

A Tribute

Well an Electronic great is calling a quits for now. Faithless just did his last show last night. To tribute this electronic music pioneer, I am going to throw some of his stuff at you. The first track is Sun To Me (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix.) This remix is a pretty hard remix. Enjoy!


The next Faithless song I am throwing your way is a live version of his most popular song, God Is A DJ. When I had first heard of Faithless years ago, I thought he was a normal DJ that would show up and mix. I was not expecting this! Pretty awesome live show!


Finally, for those who are not faithless fans, I will throw out a little teaser for you. This is Dada Life's newest song, Fight Club is Closed. This version is the R3hab & Ferruccio Salvo Remix. Obviously, I like electronic music, some majority of the music will be electronic. I am going to try and keep it consistent. However I have been known to listen to some Indie-Alternative stuff, so don't be surprised if you see some Broken Social Scene or TV
